The following statement does not apply to Son Goku:
A man can only truly achieve his full potential only if he masters the barriers that limit him within
As Son Goku defies limitation, and pushes his body to limits above the most fearful gods. Beerus and Whis look on watching with anticipation wondering how Son Goku will react to Ultra Instinct for the second time during this story arc.
As the other characters watch in amazement, they all ponder. They are coming up with their own theory, their own observation, as the camera turns to the Prince of all Saiyans. He reflects on earlier episodes of Dragonball Super, and reveals the wise words. They are clues given to us by Whis explaining how a fighter must become free and react instead of thinking about every attack.
The fire within the Prince burns as he sees Kakarot defy logic again and raise his level beyond the Prince of all Saiyans. In a bold statement of desperation, or maybe passion, the Prince vows to master the technique before Son Goku.
Will Vegeta be able to accomplish Ultra Instinct before Son Goku masters the technique? It’s a bold statement from the Prince once again, and in my view will turn out to be just that, a bold statement. As Goku masters Ultra Instinct and pushes on to a whole new power level.
As the episode winds down, and we understand how Son Goku’s body reacts to a second round of Ultra Instinct, we learn that Kefla is no push over. She reacts to Son Goku’s power, she expresses a desire, a passion to become stronger. Only with each blow, each power up, each move, she could barely touch Son Goku. This was simply allowing Son Goku to find an opening before his stamina ran out to finish the fight.
Whilst the fight drew excitement, it allowed for other characters to get air time, and expressed the importance of the fight by showing the reaction of Jiren — as he woke up from his meditation to take notice of Ultra Instinct Son Goku vs Super Saiyan 2 Kefla.
Episode 116 had many positives and gave us an understanding of how far Son Goku has to go to master Ultra Instinct. The next episodes will be interesting as Super takes the factors of Strength, Stamina, Reactions, and Intelligence into account.
