Boruto and friends are at the movies, they are watching a film about a hero who saves a bunch of hostages from the evil men who had tied them up.
The hero is swift, he is confident and he is able to take down the group of men with one flowing move. The boys are then at a local cafe and are talking about the film and Boruto’s father.
Boruto is quick to put his father down, he mentions his father is no hero, he is a man who sits in the office working and is very clumsy at home.
It is easy to see Boruto is not happy about his father. After a series of events the topic changes to Boruto being able to see the shadow aura each time a break out happens.
Amongst their conversation, it is mentioned that Boruto may have obtained Byakugan from his mother’s side. This would explain why he is able to see the shadow being.
Boruto’s New Attitude
Boruto returns home, he uses his shadow clone technique, he suspects 3 minds are better than 1. Talking back and forth with himself, Boruto is coming up with solutions. His clones advise that Boruto goes to his father, but Boruto interrupts his clones and informs them that he will stop the evil himself because he is angry how his friends were treated and he is going to protect his friends. After his speech, his clones agree and Boruto looks determined.
Boruto is asleep, a figure appears in his dream, the figure informs Boruto he has the Byakugan, that his eye is part of the bigger picture and Boruto is a saviour of the future. An awakening Boruto envisions the vision he had each time he saw the shadows. He rushes to his draw and sees his eye changes when he has these visions.
Convinced he has Byakugan, Boruto celebrates, he mimics the hero from the movie he had watched with his friends the earlier. A whole new excited, babbling sweet symphonies Boruto appears in place of the Boruto we love.
Naruto returns home, his wife informs him Boruto is acting strange, Naruto visits Boruto to find out what is wrong; Boruto informs Naruto he has Byakugan. Naruto queries Boruto and upsets Boruto, so he questions Naruto’s trust in him. Naruto explains Byakugan takes years of immense training that Boruto has not had and he believes what Boruto is saying is not possible without the training.
Naruto’s wife steps in, she can feel her son is upset and advises Naruto to take Boruto to her grandfather who has the ability to tell if Boruto has Byakugan or not.
Naruto takes his son Boruto and his daughter to see their grandfather. Boruto is convinced he has obtained Byakugan and that is the reason he is seeing the mystical aura coming out of the possessed people.
Boruto grandfather seats Boruto and Naruto down, he explains that the way of the Byakugan takes many years to master and extreme training that Boruto has not had. The possibility of Boruto having the Byakugan is not put down though, just the likely hood of it is questioned.
The grandfather leaves the building into the courtyard where he turns around and challenges Boruto to a fight.
Does Boruto have Byakugan?
It was great to see Boruto and Naruto interact with each other. The episode was set out well and had you on the edge as you experienced the usual character progression formula within TV shows where the main character isn’t believed.
Boruto took this differently and the ending of the episode has you on the edge. I’m itching for the next episode.
