Mitsuki reveals to Boruto who the ghost they have been searching for is. He mutters the name of the class rep Sumire. Boruto is drawn back and surprised that the quiet, sweet, never-hurt-a-fly-type-girl, who he had defended and protected, was the ghost that possessed others bodies and drained their chakra.
The Village Barrier
Nue is loose and the protectors of the village are trying to take Nue down. Nue is causing havoc amongst the village and not controlling Nue would mean harm to the people of the village.
Sai and gang are keeping Nue under control, whilst Mitsuki and Boruto use the power of Boruto’s eye to track the ghostly shadow from Nue’s body in order to locate Sumire.
Boruto is determined to save his class rep, his friend Sumire and return her to class.
Eye of the Boruto
Realising that Nue is connected to Sumire, Mitsuki is given a new set of instructions from his mysterious leader. He confronts Sumire ready to battle her and take her down.
A battle rages between the two only for an interception from Boruto to stop the two ripping each other apart. Boruto is hopeful, he believes that Sumire is nothing like her father. That she is not a symbol of revenge. That the girl he knows will return to school and things will become back to normal.
The fight isn’t over and will continue in the next episode.
Things are heating up, but we are left on another cliffhanger!
The Boruto series is taking a slow approach, and this slow approach is finally leading to the heated parts of the storyline.
